Spreadsheet Editor Toolbar

 

 

 

 

 

The buttons on the Spreadsheet Editor toolbars provide easy access to some of the most common items. You can display or hide the standard toolbar by toggling options in the View > Standard menu.

Description

New

Creates a new file loading a new empty workbook.

Open

Opens a workbook file from disk. Files can be opened in the following formats: Excel© 2007-2010 Open XML Workbook (*.xlsx), Excel© Worbook 97-2003 (*.xls), Microsoft Excel© Microsoft Excel© 97-2003 Workbook template file (*.xlt), Microsoft Excel© Macro Enabled Workbook (*.xlsm), Unicode text files (*.txt) and Comma Delimited Files (*.csv).

Save

Saves the current workbook. Files can be saved in the following formats: Excel© 2007-2010 Open XML Workbook (*.xlsx), Excel© Worbook 97-2003 (*.xls), Microsoft Excel© Microsoft Excel© 97-2003 Workbook template file (*.xlt), Unicode text files (*.txt) and Comma Delimited Files (*.csv).

Print

Displays the printer settings dialog box to print the current worksheet, the active workbook or the selected range.

Print preview

Displays the print preview dialog with the contents of the current worksheet, the active workbook or the selected range.

Cut

Cuts the current worksheet selection to the clipboard.

Copy

Copies the current selection to the clipboard.

Paste

Pastes the contents of the clipboard to the current worksheet selection.

Copy Format

Copies the format of the selected cells.

Undo

Undoes last action.

Redo

Redo last action undone.

Switch to AutoCAD

Set focus on the AutoCAD main window.

Send Table to AutoCAD

The AutoCAD Table Exporter will be shown. Selected cells will be sent to AutoCAD as multiple text for content, line or polyline entities for borders and solid hatch for cell fill colors, with options to define corresponding colors and linetypes.

Insert AutoCAD Screenshot

Displays the Insert screenshot dialog box to insert an image inside a cell range defining a rectangle frame in the AutoCAD drawing viewport. Image color can be converted to black and white, grayscale or as shown on screen, defining horizontal and vertical alignment inside the cell range. Background color can be forced to white to give the image the appearance of a plotted drawing.

Sum

Automatically inserts a sum formula in the selected cell referencing adjacent existing values in cells. Average and min max formulas can also be placed selecting from the dropdown list.

Sort Ascending

Sort values in the selected range in ascending order.

Sort Descending

Sort values in the selected range in descending order.

Insert Chart

Inserts a chart object taking values for the data series from the selected range. Double clicking on the chart or right clicking and selecting 'Chart Explorer' from the context menu the chart type and related settings can be modified.

Zoom

Adjusts the extents of the current worksheet view. Values between 25 and 400% can be specified.

Font

Selects the font family and applies it to the selected range content.

Font Size

Modifies the font size of the selected range.

Bold Font

Controls the bold attribute for the currently selected range of data.

Italic Font

Controls the italic attribute for the currently selected range of data.

Underline Font

Controls the underline attribute for the currently selected range of data.

Left Alignment

Left aligns the selected range of data.

Centered

Centers aligns the selected range of data.

Right Alignment

Right aligns the selected range of data.

Combine and Center

Merges the selected cells and centers the selected data.

Currency Style

Applies the default currency style to the selected range of data.

Percentage Style

Applies the percentage style format to the selected range of data.

Thousands Style

Applies the default thousands style format to the selected range of data.

Add Decimal Places

Adds decimal places to the selected range of data.

Remove Decimal Places

Removes decimal places to the selected range of data.

Borders

Applies the selected border configuration to the selected range of data. Different border combinations can be selected from the dropdown list. Selecting 'Borders dialog...' at the bottom of the list displays the Range Explorer with the Borders node selected where color and line style can be specified for each border.

Fill Color

Fills the selected range cells interior with the color selected. Predefined fill colors can be selected from the dropdown list. Selecting 'More colors...' at the bottom of the list displays the Color selection dialog box where basic and custom colors can be selected.

Font Color

Applies the selected color to the selected range text. Selecting 'More colors...' at the bottom of the list displays the Color selection dialog box where basic and custom colors can be selected.
