Y Error Bars

Y error bars show potential error or degree of uncertainty relative to each data marker in a series.

1.      Display options. Y error bars can be hidden or display both the positive and negative portion of the error value (default) or only the positive or negative portion of the error value in each data marker.

2.      Show caps on end of error  bars. Short horizontal lines at each end of vertical error bar line can be drawn.

3.      Fixed error value. The length of the error bars can be specified by a fixed number of units.

4.      Percent. Length of the error bars specified as a percentage of the chart height.

5.      Standard deviation. This value is a measure of the dispersion of a set of data from its mean. The more spread apart the data is, the higher the deviation.

6.      Standard error. This value provides an estimation of the extent to which the mean of a given set of values from a sample differs from the true mean of the whole data series.

7.      Custom.  A length value for the negative and positive portion of the error bars can be specified.
