Sum of lengths

Purpose:

To sequentially add and subtract lengths by specifying points, tracing arcs or by selecting existing entities.

1.      Erase lines when done: Check if lines created by this command will be deleted when done.

2.      Copy total length value to Windows Clipboard: Check if the total length sum numeric value will be copied to the Windows Clipboard. You can then paste the value in any application accepting text input.

3.      Place total length annotation in drawing: Check if you wish to place total length annotation in drawing when done.

4.      Specify text rotation in drawing: Check if you wish to specify text rotation when placing the total length sum annotation in drawing.

5.      Length conversion factor: Specify a positive non-zero value. The resulting length value will be multiplied by this conversion factor.

6.      Length calculation: Check if lines will be created with Z coordinate equal to zero or with Z coordinate from input.

1.      Prefix: Type text to be included before total sum of lengths annotation.

2.      Suffix: Type text to be appended to total sum of lengths annotation.

3.      Decimal places: Set decimal places for total sum of lengths annotation.

4.      Text size: Type text size for total sum of lengths annotation.

5.      Distance selector button: Click to set text size by selecting distance between two points in drawing.

6.      Text rotation: Type default text rotation for total sum of lengths annotation.

7.      Angle selector button: Click to select angle selecting two points in drawing to set text rotation angle.

8.      Units: Check if text size will be in drawing units or in plotting units according to corresponding layout scale.

9.      Annotative: Check if the total sum of lengths annotation height will change when the corresponding layout scale is modified.

10.   Text selector button: Click to set text properties by selecting a text object in drawing. Text size, layer color, style and font will be automatically selected to be the same as the selected text object.

11.   Text settings: Select layer, color style and font for total sum of lengths annotation.

1.      Line settings: Select layer, color style and font for lines drawn.

2.      Linetype scale: Specify a positive non-zero value. The resulting length value will be multiplied by this conversion factor.

3.      Select linetype: Press to select the boundary linetype from a dialog box.

4.      Line properties selector button: Click to load properties by selecting an entity in drawing. Layer, color and line weight will be automatically selected to be the same as the selected object.

Comments:
