Purpose:
To automatically annotate distance and bearing in polyline segments, arc length, chord, radius, tangent and central angle in polyline arc segments. Polyline area and perimeter can also be annotated. Prefix, suffix, decimal places and text settings such as text size, layer, color, style and font can be specified.
Fig. 1: Annotate polygon
1. Line segment annotations: Distance and bearing can be annotated in polyline linear segments. Prefix , suffix, decimal places for distance and bearing, and annotation text settings can be specified. An angle reference for the north bearing can be specified (default 90 decimal degrees)
2. Polygon annotations: Polygon area and perimeter can be annotated inside a closed polyline. Prefix , suffix, decimal places and conversion factor can be specified for area and perimeter annotations. Text settings like size, rotation, layer, color, style and font can also be specified.
3. Arc segment annotations: Arc length, chord, radius, tangent and central angle (delta) can be annotated in polyline arc segments. Prefixes for each annotation can be specified. Suffix can be set for distance annotations. Decimal places for distances and angles and text settings (size, rotation, layer, color, style and font) can also be specified.
Comments:
· A prefix is letter or group of letters attached to the beginning of an annotation. A suffix is a letter or group of letters added to the end of an annotation.
· The conversion factor can be used to convert between units, e.g.: if the conversion factor for area annotations is equal to 1 / 43560 and the polyline is drawn in feet units, the resulting area annotations will be in acres.
· Arc annotations can located inside (toward the arc center) or outside (in the convex part of the arc)
