Spreadsheet linked groups

Spreadsheet linked groups are processed from left to right and from top to bottom. Columns are processed first and then rows.

1.      Number of columns.  If only one column is specified, groups will be processed downward.

2.      Offset between rows. Blank rows inserted between groups.

3.      Offset between columns. Blank columns inserted between groups.

4.      Insert horizontal page break between groups. Group rows will be separated by an horizontal page break.

In the above example, polyline vertex coordinates were linked to cells. The polylines were sorted and grouped by their unique ObjectID property, this way each group contains only one polyline. The corresponding spreadsheet group was linked to this sorted group. For each sorted group (polyline) the information was processed and sent to the report from left to right until the number of columns specified were reached, then another group row was processed until finishing. In this case, the number of columns specified were 3, the offset between group rows 2 and the offset between group columns 1.

Spreadsheet linked groups can contain any number of entities, depending on the sort properties defined. Please see the Grouped Entities Report web video for a detailed example about sorting and grouping.
