A selection set group can be sorted and optionally grouped by entity property values in ascending or descending order. The entities will be sorted by the first property value, then by the second property value until there's no more sort properties defined in the corresponding 'Sort properties' section. If there's no sort properties defined, the entities will be processed in the order they where added in the entity selection set group after filtering.
If the entity property is of type string, the option 'Sort as numbers' can be selected to sort them as numerical values.

If the 'Case sensitive' option is checked, text case will be considered when sorting.
If the 'Group by' option is selected, the entities will be sorted and then grouped in the same order as they appear in the 'Sort properties' section, and a group description must be entered in the 'Entity group description' text box. This description will be used to identify the corresponding sorted group when adding a spreadsheet linked group.
In the above example, drawing entities were sorted and grouped by color, linetype and area values, resulting in 1 color group, 2 linetype subgroups and 4 area subgroups. The spreadsheet linked groups were added and linked to sorted groups in the same order as in the 'Sort properties' section with the 'Group by' option checked.
How to add a sort property
1. Right click on the 'Sort properties' node and select 'Add entity property from drawing'

2. Select an entity in the drawing which has the property required.
3. Specify the sort order and optionally the group by, sort as numbers and the case sensitive options. If the group by option is selected, a description for the group must be entered.
