1. Click and hold the left mouse button on a cell and drag trough the range you want to protect. To select multiple ranges, press the CTRL key while selecting a range with the mouse.
2. Select View > Range Explorer from the Spreadsheet Editor menu.
3. Select the Protection node in the Range Explorer.
4. Check the Locked option.
5. Select the Close button to close the Range Explorer.
6. Select View > Workbook Explorer or press F6 to display the Workbook Explorer.
7. Expand the corresponding workbook node and select the worksheet node where the protected cells are. To expand a node, select the plus symbol to the left of the node name.
8. Check the 'Protect sheet contents' option. Enter optional password to unprotect sheet.
Notes:
· After protecting the worksheet contents, contents in cells marked as locked can not be edited.
· By default all cells are locked. If you want to be able to edit some cells after the worksheet protection is applied, mark them as unlocked.
· To unprotect a worksheet and be able to edit locked and unlocked cells, the exact password must be entered. Unprotect password will not be required if no password was defined when the worksheet was protected
